The troops of India and Russia began the eight edition of Joint Military Exercise 'INDRA-2016' in Russian city of Vladivostok.
The main focus of the joint drills is on 'Counter-Terrorism operations in semi mountainous and jungle terrain.
Indian army contigent led by Brig. Sukrit Chadah is represented by 250 soldiers, from the Kumaon Regiment and 250 soldiers from the 59th Motorised Infantry Brigate are representing the Russian Army.
INDRA: Indra is a joint, bi-annual military exercise conducted by India and Russia for boosting cooperation and interoperability. It was started in 2003.\
