On 1st September 2016, IndiaPost released a commemorative postage stamp on Mother Teresa, unveiled by Union Minister of state for communications Manoj Sinha during a ceremony at the Divine Child High School.
Mother Teresa was a Roman Catholic nun, who devoted her life to serving the poor and destitute around the world. She was the founder of the Missionaries of Charity.
Considered one of the greatest humanitarians of the 20th century, Mother Teresa is canonized as Saint Teresa of Calcutta.
